Memory: Five Visual Memory Puzzles a Day

Memory is a free daily visual memory game on Quizebra. Every day you get five puzzles, from easy to hard. Each one shows you something for a few seconds, a pattern of squares, a row of symbols, a route, a set of arrows, then hides it and asks about it. Pick the right one of four answers. There is no clock: your score is how many of the five you get right. Everyone in the world gets the same five puzzles each day.

How Do You Play Memory?

Look while the picture is shown; a grey bar shows how long you have. When it disappears, the question appears. Take your time, but you get one try: a wrong answer loses that puzzle. The most right answers wins. Equal scores share a rank and are listed in the order they finished.

You get one ranked set a day. After that you can play practice sets without limit; they do not go on the leaderboard.

How Is Memory Different From the Other Brain Games?

Three ways. There are five puzzles instead of three. There is no clock on the answer: the only timing is how long the picture stays, between about one and a half and seven seconds, and a grey bar shows it running out. And the score is a count, not a time: how many of the five you got right.

Is This a Memory Test?

No. The puzzles are the kinds a visual memory test uses, a pattern of squares, a row of symbols, an order of events, but there is no norm and no score beyond the day’s five. It is a daily game with a leaderboard.

What Kinds of Puzzles Are There?

Which pattern you saw, which square changed, where a symbol was, which symbol was or was not there, what filled a gap, how many of a shape there were, which symbols belonged together, the order of a row, the order in which squares lit up, a route, a line, which shapes were filled and which way arrows pointed.

Tips for Remembering More

Do not try to take in everything at once. Group what you see: a pattern of squares is easier as two or three small shapes than as single squares, and a row of symbols is easier as a short story. Say the order to yourself while you look.

How Many Puzzles Are There?

500, a hundred in each of the five difficulty levels, from fourteen kinds of puzzle. Each day takes one from each level, easy first, five different kinds, and no puzzle comes round again until its whole level has been played, which takes a hundred days.

When Do the Puzzles Reset?

New puzzles arrive at midnight London time, with a fresh leaderboard. Free, no account, no ads.

The other brain games are Logic, Numbers and Spatial, and the best player across all four each day is the Daily BrainWhiz.
